Living with playful kids means a lot of responsibilities that are sometimes quite difficult to handle. Caring for a growing child entails a lot of patience and dedication. You cannot hold back playing sessions, because these are the only activities that children do. To decrease too much toy clutter, you may need to keep the following points in mind.
Follow a regular schedule for playing. This is particularly applicable to school-age children, who also have responsibilities at school. Let them adhere to regular play sessions that will provide them with more time for homework and club activities. Train your children to play according to the schedule that you have set. In this way, your kids will develop discipline at an early age. Allow them to play to their heart's content, and then sternly inform them that their time is up.
Keep toys safely and securely. You dislike the idea of having to clean all the mess. To make this easy, secure some old boxes that you do not use anymore. Keep all plastic toys inside one container, and all other toys that change properties at another storage box. Bubble blowers and water guns should be kept at a rack where movement can be restricted to prevent necessary spillage. Toys that come in sets should be kept securely within their own boxes to avoid losing small key parts.
You can always make your own storage equipment. Try to recycle some old boxes that are still in good condition, and utilise wide areas at your home to keep toys that are not in use. Discard toys that have been severely damaged, as this could endanger your child in cases of ingestion and choking.
